Stearic Acid is a vegetable derived fatty acid, most commonly used to thicken and stabilize cosmetic formulations.
Used as a thickening agent in lotions, Stearic Acid can also be used as a hardening agent in stick products and bar soaps, and in candles to increase the melting point.
Suitable for use in Creams & Lotions, Candles, Soaps, Ointments, Balms, Salves, Body Butters and Shampoos.
Grade: Cosmetic Grade. Triple Pressed.
Appearance: Small, Waxy, Solid Beads
Melting Point: 69-71°C
Recommended Usage: 0.5% – 25%
Note: Add to the oil phase of your formulation. Due to its high melting point, it can cause granulation to your finished product if not properly melted & mixed in.
